Pouring Footing Ring March 5, 2003 |
|
|
This was a really long afternoon. Billy's dad really helped us by doing most of the finish work on the concrete. The young man who brought the pumper truck also helped by shovelling and moving the concrete around. We got the pumper on site at 2:00, the concrete trucks started coming around 2:50. We really hustled to get the concrete trowelled and rebar straightened before the stuff set up. It took 3 concrete trucks, but only 24 yards. We only have the front portico monuments to pour by hand and then we'll be able to inflate the airform. Billy and I were really excited to get this stage done.
