March 29, 2003

This was hard to do, spreading the airform with 4 inches of rainwater on top of it!

We got a small pump and started sucking the puddles of water off the top of the airform where it had gathered in pockets. It has taken two days to get most of the water off. We should have four days of partly cloudy weather to start attaching the airform. We'll add more pictures as we start moving the airform to its final position. The airform is 3 feet above grade, so that makes runoff water drain quickly into the sandy soil. After inflation, we'll spread plastic sheeting across the ground to prevent moisture from collecting on the inside of the dome. We're very close to getting the airform inflated!!
