PROJECT PHOTOS Hanging Runco Projector March 14, 2005 |
We finally hung the wonderful Runco projector today. We had a small hesitation to open up the starry sky material, but Billy was able to use a stainless steel rounded spatula to put the material back into the tracks. We had to place another piece of plywood under the sky material to hold the screws from the pipe bracket. Billy put some big hex head screws into the steel framework of the Insul-deck that holds up the second floor. This unit is heavy and we wanted it to stay there.

The cables that attach the projector to the control unit are bigger than the smurf tubing that we had put in place before the ceiling was applied. Now we have to open up the material all the way to the front and snake the cables to the back of the screen and down the Auralex walls. This will be a little time consuming, taking care not to disturb any stars or fiber optics. We will do this later this week. We spent some time tweaking the picture after we mounted it from the ceiling. It looks wonderful from any seat in the theatre.
