Inflating the Airform (second attempt) April 10, 2003 |
I attempted to clean some of the mildew and mud off the exterior of the airform, mostly the top most section that we wouldn't be able to reach from the ground after inflation. We had to scoot the airlock back closer to the footing ring after the first inflation pushed it almost off the pad.

We drove some stakes into the ground at the outside edge to try and keep it in place this time. We also re-attached the airlock snood of material by getting up on top of the airlock and pulling the material up as close as possible so there would be no slack. Then, we could adjust it a little at a time so it would be tight afterwards.
