Hanging Rebar, Day 1 April 29, 2003 |
| Rebar delivered on Monday afternoon, and we were still cleaning up and making adjustments to windows. Tuesday afternoon (after the thunderstorms) we started carrying the rebar thru the airlock rebar hole. It's actually harder to move the rebar than to hang it on the dome walls. | A new helper started working with us to speed up the rebar process. Jared has worked with us many times in our film business. The rebar hanging went faster with three of us working, Billy tying the rebar, I'd hand the next one up to him while Jared was bending or cutting the next piece. Most of the rebar didn't need cutting, we just lapped them to save time. | |
