PROJECT PHOTOS Windows, part 4 May 15, 2008 |
| We love the Coral Light faux stone trim products, they are easy to work
with and are a natural match for our dome. The flexible pieces are easy to
follow a curve over the half round windows. Just fastened with long screws
and caulked with NP 1 on the outside edge and regular caulking on the inside
edge. The STO product fills in the smaller gaps and levels the entire
surface. We are just about ready to paint the entire dome, again. We want to texture some areas that need refreshing with a roller, and then we can spray the rest of the dome. The top 1/4 of the dome only gets elastomeric paint like Kool Seal so we have a minimum of texture up there to grab dirt, dust and mold. The sides of the dome need the texture to cover any inconsistencies in the airform and to make it look organic.
