PROJECT PHOTOS Spraying the top June 6, 2008 |
|
Wearing his rock climbing harness, Billy waited for a dry day to spray the top of the dome after he had rolled on the first coat. This is the area that is the smoothest, so that dirt won't grab easily to the airform. All the rest of the dome has a measure of texture to it so it helps hide the seams and inconsistencies. We used our new airless sprayer and it seemed to work great. It had to be set up for the first time with machine oil and then we primed it and started spraying. We used an entire 5 gallon bucket of Kool Seal on the very top of the roof by itself. Then switching to another bucket, Billy finished up for the day around the two story augment off the scissor lift.
