Emptying Dome

Just a few pictures to show how the dome looks without the scaffolding. It looks really big to the eye, but the pictures compress the distance. It took three days to move the equipment out of the dome, and the cleanup of the scaffolding continues.

We start the sand coat on Wednesday and finish on Thursday. It looks really rough and depressing compared to the light and space of the airform after inflation. The dark grey is very ominous and makes for a depressing sight. One benefit is that bugs are repelled by the strong lime off-gassing from the shotcrete.
