Billy removed the portico restrictions. He won't remove the forms on the inside till we finish the sand coat, so there won't be overspray outside of the portico. We'll be attaching a coquina rock trim on the exterior of each of the window openings as well as the front of the portico.

We'll trim the extra airform material to the edge of the front of the portico with enough to wrap around the face of the columns (which will be covered by the trim).

When we first designed the unique front entrance to our dome, we designed the restrictions at the same time. We were convinced that this could work if done properly, and we are delighted that it came out just as we had imagined.

We believe that this is the first time a restricted airform has been used. We had not seen any other examples of its type. There must be dozens and dozens of applications for a restricted airform component.
