October  24, 2003

Thad Tobaben of Reward Wall arranged for us to pick up the blocks we needed from Ft. Lauderdale.

We met Julio on the job site and he loaded us up with the corner pieces and the 48 inch straight pieces we needed.  We still have to get some more but the rental truck was full, we'll go get some more this week. We have to go 7 and a half courses high to be at the correct height for the floor decking to lay on top. The pieces are 16 inches tall, and the second floor finished height is eleven feet. It only took about 30 minutes to unload the rental truck and we started assembling them to see where they'll go.

It was really amazing to see the theatre walls in place and to realize how high the ceilings will be on the first floor - 10 feet. The balcony area will be spectacular - especially with the 14 foot tall Christmas tree we have planned for this Christmas. We'll order rebar and some metal stud plates for the floor on Monday and start putting rebar in place this week. We'll try to pour as soon as we get it all assembled.
