We talked with our engineer about the length of time needed for safely removing the jacks from the Insul-Deck and he said 7 days was just fine, but to keep watering the surface for another 7 days. He also said we should keep the forms on the stairs for that additional 7 days to minimize cracking. It seemed like it took forever to put those jacks up, but it only took us 4 hours to remove them. It was a lot easier than putting them up, too. We are going to stucco the fronts of the flat areas from which we removed the forms on Sunday. It will look finished even though we'll cover it with drywall eventually, when we start putting up walls. We're also going to try some stucco finishes on some hidden areas in a closet to see which finish we want to use in the rest of the dome. We also will seal the theatre floor to keep any excess moisture out of there and start the "balcony" platform that will raise the back theatre seats about 12 inches off the floor. This will give a better view than the back of someone's head.
