We started stucco work this week by chipping away at the high spots and chipping the edges of the wall that infringed on the floor space. Billy used an impact hammer with a chisel point and a chisel blade. This took about 3 days. After that we added some stucco to the very low spots on the walls, bringing it up to a level that could be closer to the smoothness we desire. Then we brought in two laborers on Thursday and Friday to apply the stucco on the first floor dome walls. This worked pretty well, we also had a mortar mixer to make up a batch at a time. First day was 1/2 lower floor and the second day got us the rest of the way around to the living room windows. We had started in the guest bath behind the stairwell. Billy was doing most of the higher wall on a scaffold and the workers were doing the lower 6 feet (remember we have 10 foot ceilings on the first floor). We start on the entryway tomorrow. Prep work for the frame for the front door.
